This is the sixth in a series of articles that explain the meaning of Jesus’ parables in terms of the parabolic imagery and Hebrew idioms the Prophets used. The first five articles appeared in the January 1998, October 1998, October 2003, October 2004, and January 2005 issues. This article explains a few things concerning the relationship of the parabolic image of “The Lamp” to the parabolic image of “The Light.” It shows what Jesus is talking about in the parables in which He parabolically depicts Himself—the Living Word of God Who is The Teaching—as “The Light.”
The purpose of this column is to explain various weather-related parabolic images that relate to the Last Days and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. The “forecast” in this edition points out how Satan is busy at work planting “tares” through those individuals who are using the things they learned from The Voice of Elijah® to teach others.
The answer to the first question explains why Jesus Christ had to be a physical descendant of Adam to inherit the promise. The second points out that the resurrected body of True Believers will be capable of eating food just for the pleasure of it. The author declines to answer the third question because it has already been answered in The Next Step program. The fourth answer clarifies some issues concerning the Rapture of the saints described in 1 Thessalonians 4:15–18. The final answer chides an individual who falsely accuses the author of not believing in the Rapture.
