It Is Possible to Make a Decision by Not Making a Decision

The author continues his explanation about having to give up our own thoughts and learn to think “The Way” God thinks to understand the Bible. Following a review of the three previous issues (October 2020, January 2021, and April 2021), he discusses the discipline of the Lord and the importance of submission to that discipline. He then provides his interim translation of Proverbs 1:1–9 and, in that passage, points out five reasons why God allows the “winds” to test us.

This issue also includes “The Forecast” column, in which the author talks about the fulfillment of Psalm 2:12b and the “shackles” and “cords” that have been placed on mankind—death, for example. He explains that man’s effort to remove the “shackles” with which the Lord has us bound will bring the terrifying fire of the Lord down on this civilization.
