Only a Fool Would Keep Working When There Is Nothing Left to Do

This is the fifth and final article in a series of articles whose purpose is to explain what the Apostle Paul had in mind when he talked about “law” and “the Law.” It builds on information presented in the July 1998, January 2000, April 2001, and January 2002 issues of the newsletter. This article reviews the contents of the first four articles before explaining how Paul’s use of specific prepositional phrases reveals his mind-set in regard to “law” and “the Law.” It also explains the parabolic imagery related to the “Spirit” dwelling in Corporate Israel under the terms of the New Covenant.

The Forecast

The purpose of this column is to explain various weather-related parabolic images that relate to the Last Days and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. This edition warns against seeking a “sign from heaven” that the Second Coming is imminent.

Questions & Answers

The first answer in this set explains how to tell the difference between literal statements and parabolic statements. The second explains the distinction that exists between “Scripture” and “the Scriptures.” The third responds to the contention that The Teaching of Paul was somehow different than The Teaching of Jesus. The final answer responds to a subscriber who points out an oversight in the author’s earlier translation of Genesis 3:20.
