This is the seventh in a series of articles that explain the meaning of Jesus’ parables in terms of the parabolic imagery and Hebrew idioms the Prophets used. This article explains various aspects of the meaning and significance of the parabolic imagery related to the “sign of Jonah” Jesus Christ said would be given to His generation. It also explains what the Book of Jonah is talking about.
